Garage Floor Coatings

Garage floor coatings are directly applied to concrete surfaces. The process begins with grinding the existing floor to create a proper profile, similar to sanding wood. This step also involves sealing and repairing any cracks to ensure a smooth base. Next, we apply a coating system tailored to your needs, add color flakes if desired, and finish with a top layer of industrial-grade sealant. The result is an exceptionally durable surface that is not only visually appealing but also easy to clean, slip-resistant, and dust-free.

Epoxy & Polyurea Coatings For Your Garage Floor

Garage Perfect offers adhesive floor coating options, including epoxy and Polyurea. Both protect your garage from damage commonly caused by natural and chemical elements such as salt and oil.

Your choice between these options depends on your schedule, aesthetic needs, and budget. Garage Perfect’s designers highly recommend a Polyurea floor coating for its durability and because it can be installed in one day.

Our Polyurea One Day Flooring System

Polyurea flooring comes in many colors and can have a stone-like appearance. They hold their color, never yellow, and resist skid marks from tires, making them one of the longest lasting options for garages.

Polyurea flooring can be walked on in a few hours and is ready for vehicle traffic in just one day. Our installation process includes several steps, including:

  • We begin by testing the moisture content of the current garage floor. If the moisture exceeds 70% a moisture barrier needs to be applied to ensure that the floor coating will not lift or peel.
  • We grind the concrete to remove imperfections and open the pores in the concrete, allowing the surface to accept the new coating.
  • We then repair visible cracks and significantly pitted areas to ensure that the completed floor will have an even finish.
  • Next, it’s time for coating with Polyurea resin, which pours on like a mixture between paint and self-levelling concrete.
  • After the floor is coated, we add flakes for traction and aesthetic purposes.
  • The final step is to seal the coating and allow it to cure for about six hours before you can walk on it.
